Sport England opened the final phase of consultation into their new 10-year strategy, which will be published in early 2021.
This consultation has a series of engagement opportunities taking a deeper look at the strategy's key themes.
Sport England believe sport and physical activity has a significant role to play in improving the physical and mental health of the nation, supporting the economy and reconnecting communities. Sport England want to play a significant part in that.
After almost 18 months of research and consultation - during which Sport England listened and reflected on the views of interested parties who’ve offered invaluable contributions which have helped to develop the new strategy – its publication will be an important moment for Sport England and the partners they work with and rely on to deliver sport and physical activity across England.
In this final phase, Sport England want to continue to hear from a range of stakeholders, including partners, national and local government and thought-leaders.
The consultation, which runs for four weeks, is being hosted by the independent insight and strategy consultancy, BritainThinks, on their behalf.
As it’s a 10-year strategy period, Sport England will be developing detailed implementation plans that sit alongside it.
Following publication of the strategy in the New Year, an online platform will then host further engagement opportunities used to gather specific ideas on how Sport England can achieve these objectives in practice and implement the strategy.
