Planning approval for London’s first inland surfing venue.

We are delighted that Enfield Council this week (Tuesday 16 September) approved the application to create a stunning new inland surfing destination at Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Edmonton. The company behind the proposal is Crest Experiences, formerly known as The Wave Group Ltd.

Surf London will be an exciting new sport and leisure destination on land at Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Edmonton, offering surfing experiences to thousands of people across London and the wider region each year as well as new jobs, a community hub and enhanced open spaces to enjoy.

The plan for Surf London has a 200m wide surf lake at its heart plus additional sports and wellbeing activities, including a restaurant and café, unique event spaces and accommodation, all set in biodiverse parkland.

The development will now be considered by the Greater London Authority and we look forward to hearing the outcome.
